Sunday the 8th of November was the date of my first Beach Portrait location shoot… I was so nervous but quietly confident that I could pull it off .  I arrived a half an hour before the clients and walked the beach for possible locations.  I had already been down the week before to have a look but it had been occupied by a school group so didn’t get a good look .  It was a bit windy but that made it a comfortable temperature to work in.  When the family arrived I was able to tell them about my finds in my walk of an old dinghy upturned round the corner which made for a great prop to get the family together against the brown of the rocks and the rusty colour of the dinghy.  This broke the ice nicely and we then subjected the three boys to sit still in a few other spots before letting them run free on the beach and i just casually wandered up and down taking shots when they weren’t noticing.  I gave the client a quick sneak peak and then went round the next day to show the finished product in the comfort of their home and after an hour of agonising over which shots to choose out of so many (her comment) a order was lodged .

I also managed to finish off the kings park photos and they were sent off for orders … so all and all a great day was had .. even a phone call that could lead to a very good opportunity to do with christmas photo taking .. can’t wait to find out about that one.

Tuesday night is my first night Glamour Portrait Party I am quietly confident about that one too and know that my client will quickly put me at ease just letting my perfectionism get the best of me.  Now it is time to go back to being mum and house cleaner and sort this house out.

night all.

Living on Rainbow Farm with my two beautiful children and fur baby Billy in Busselton, Western Australia provides me with stunning sunrise and sunsets and the beauty of Australia's flora and fauna. I hope to bring just a little bit of inspiration, healing and lots of sunshine to your day.
