Sunshine and Summer Colour

The second day of the year brings the sunrise much like the first day but who can complain about that when you are greeted by cloudless skies and a warming yellow glow.

The heat came in earlier today but not before the sunflowers I bought at the market made it out into the yard and I took some images they were already starting to wilt in the heat but the colour of the yellow was so stunning against the bright blue sky.

Don’t they just uplift your spirit and colour your world just looking at them?

As these beauties were not going to last very long and were already dropping pollen on my beautiful wood sideboard I made the choice to donate my flowers to nature.

I am so glad I did I left the flowers sitting on a table out in the yard and not too much later they were covered in bees harvesting the pollen.  It felt good to do this and as I had bought sunflower flavoured honey the day before at the markets it seemed like I was helping nature recoup what I had taken from it.

It was a joy to watch the colour and the activity of nature even into the next day the bees found use for these beautiful flowers.  So the moral of this story is you can help nature where ever you are buy a bunch of flowers enjoy its beauty then give it back to nature and watch the movement and see what arrives to return the flowers to nature.

The end of the day came too quickly and with it came SMOKE … lots of smoke the fear of fire in summer here in Western australia is a big one with fires taking the good out of nature usually after being lit by some silly child having fun.  The smoke and fire in this case was not near to Rainbow farm but a combination of fires in neighbouring towns blowing all down into our area.

It gave the sun and sky a red glow but also blocked the sun out when it got close to the horizon at least a early shot of the sun setting showed some of the colour of the night.

The beauty of Nature can not be denied and even with the smell of smoke filling the nostrils you can’t help but feel awe over the beauty and find some joy in the sun’s energy.

Have a great night and day everyone and make sure you take the time to look around you at all the colour and movement of your day it will colour your life and bring the sunshine in.
