The First week in November was the week to really start Rainbow Farm Photography with a trip up to Perth on Tuesday to take images of a beautiful family in the lovely surrounds of Kings Park .. there was a little disapointment as the area we were at was having some maintenance done so there was no beautiful pond area but we made do with the grassed areas and play ground. It was a steaming hot day and with photographing a young baby we stuck to the shade in most cases it was great fun.. I like to catch my clients in the natural state so let the children run around and play snapping here and there as they played. I enjoyed it greatly and the family had a great time too. I hope to get up to perth again in the future and photograph some of the beautiful scenery of the area.

The Yearly Busselton Show was on at the end of October and as I usually do I ummed and ahhed about entering mainly because the sections that i really like to enter are all in black & white and I don’t think that my images go well in black & white . I am all about the colour love the way the vibrant colour of Busselton shines through everyday .. so at the encouragement of my husband and family I got together some entries and entered not expecting to much. To my suprise I got a First Prize in the Unusual Letterbox section in which I really didnt think they would accept my entry of a birdhouse that had been hung as a letterbox at the Nannup Lavender Farm. I also received a Second Prize in the Colour Portait section for my beautiful daughter in the daisies I just love the colours in that image and was glad it got somewhere. A highly recommended was also given with my entry in the Seascape section for an image I had taken on the Sharks Bay foreshore of a calm day and a boat. All in all prize money amounted to $15 which is not the reasoning for entering but an added bonus. I took my family to the show on the saturday and we viewed all the photography as well as doing the usual sideshow activity it is an expensive business these days to go to the show with entry then show bags and rides and games … phew we were broke when we got home … below is the winning entries

Well I am afraid I still am not very good at this blogging thing I have thought lots about getting on and doing posts but seem to have a block on how to manage it so I apoligize if I ramble a bit but something is better than nothing I always say ..lol. Since Last Blog Post I have received my order of stationery well the second order the first is still missing in action probably never to be found again. I have been busily handing out business cards and little flyers that I made up myself. I have several Picture Portrait Parties set up for next month and one for December.. the First will be a night ladies glamour party with a group of girlfriends all dressing up and having portraits done and as I had no lighting I have just ordered some softbox lighting to help with the night and dull lighting problems of location shooting. The Second Party is going to be a Beach location Portrait Party with everyone meeting at the beach for some beautiful beach portraits. the December booking is a Netball team that is having a Mothers and Daughters Portrait Party which is a great idea for getting your sporting team memories in a relaxed atmosphere. I am eagerly looking forward to all of them and hoping to book a few more. Pet Photo Portraits are taking off too I went to a lovely clients place yesterday and took some pics of her beautiful dogs both getting on in years but I think we managed to capture the youth in there eyes.
This weekend I will be taking some beautiful images of a young horse and then the clients parents pets so should have a great time. I love taking images of beautiful animals and take any opportunity even when I was stopped at a service station getting fuel last weekend on my way to work at the video store there was two beautiful dogs in the back of a ute so after asking the owner I took a couple of great pics of them too .. I love my new job and so hope I make some money at it so I can continue to do what I love.
Over the weekend I will be putting the finishing touches on my hostess bags and delivering them to there owners and will post pics soon of the contents for all to see as well as some sneak previews of the weekends images.

I have been waiting patiently for my business cards, party invites and other stationery items. The order should of arrived on the 1st of October I gave it extra time with the WA public holiday and being in a rural area so when it did not arrive yesterday I was most upset my world crashed. I realised that it probably was lost and that meant having to deal with the company to get a new order sent or find the one thats lost. I did have a nice suprise though my order of canvas and photo prints I put in less than a week ago have arrived and I am really pleased with the quality so they will be getting my business for sure. Havent had any phone calls yet from my flyer giving out on the weekend but hopefully i will be in the back of peoples mind. Jennifer went to grandma’s yesterday for a sleep over and I tried to get Robert off to Nanna’s but she got caught up out of town and couldnt do it so ended up still having one child last night but he went to bed on time so wasnt too bad. Before Jennifer went to grandma’s we went for a drive and visited this beautiful little park in one of the suburb streets of Busselton and I took some pics but the kids are really getting over me taking pics so they didnt really work out well enuff..but it will definetly be on my list as a location shoot with its flower beds and benches and a couple of vine arches its beautiful. Spring is such a great time with all the flowers blooming the roadsides are a mass of flowers I can not wait to have some paying clients to photograph.. School holidays are over this week so hoping next week to get into booking a few parties and see what happens.. fingers crossed i have all the stationery sorted by then.

Well finally we are starting to get some beautiful sunny weather and all the spring flowers… My Portrait picture Parties and Pet Portrait business thru Rainbow Farm Photography http://www.rainbowfarmphotography.com.au is finally under way and its a perfect time to take advantage of the beautiful south west to get portraits done .. Rainbow Farm has a beautiful array of yellow flowers at the moment and i have been taking advantage of them taking some great shots of the kids and our beautiful border collie Ellie. Soon the phone will be running hot and I am excited to be getting out there feeling that i really want to get everyone out into this amazing scenery that we call home and take some awesome pics.
My Part time work at Civic Video in Busselton is helping in my cause I printed off some flyers yesterday and took them to work with me it was amazing the amount of people that thought it was a fantastic idea and spurred me on with compliments and possibility of work.. also one friend/customer took extra flyers to pass round and another took extra to post on the school canteen notice board . I also got asked if I do weddings which is something I had put on the back burner as I have not actually done a wedding as the main photographer but did take a heap of images at my husbands neices wedding and thought to myself maybe I could actually do a wedding .. no not yet too much pressure in weddings i think and being just myself I think I would feel that I didnt give the bride and groom all the angles and pics they could of got.
Hopefully on Monday all my stationery comes and even maybe my photo order with canvases etc in it… exciting times it is all a go can’t wait to get out there and do some gorgeous photos… Ofcourse I already have and if for some reason it all goes belly up I have at least that some amazing pics of the kids and our beloved Ellie dog.

Its been a busy week or so since I got my business name approved.. my new website is up and running and I think I have ironed all the kinks out ..lol… I have also sent off a stationery order to get business cards and flyers etc. I have set up a facebook fan page and listed in business directories .. as well as the usual hum drum of house work and kids .. I still am having trouble writing in this blog something I willhave to get used to with having facebook and the fan page on there i feel like I am repeating myself all over the place so still have to acheive a happy balance .. and do i use this as a business tool or a personal insight into me?? still not sure. I guess it will all work itself out in the wash.

Alright I am still waiting patiently for my business name approval but have started making in roads into getting everything set up so that when that approval comes I can just push a button and have instant orders done and get business cards etc done as well as publish website and have twitter and facebook and blog or connected to optimise exposure to give me greatest chance of sucess… also I really should learn my grammar again that was one long sentence lol… twitter has me totally confused so I am totally confusing my facebook friends with weird status etc and anyone that follows this blog the twitter updates are on the side to confuse you all too ..lol.. hopefully I will get it all undercontrol by business start up time.
I did not get a phone call yesterday so am guessing I did not win any awards in the Busselton Wildflower Photo Competition will drop in before work to see who did win etc.
Havent been to work for two weeks because of being sick last weekend so should be interesting and be nice to catch up with all the new release movies to dvd.. stay tuned for a few reviews.. now if i could work out to get the facebook flixster application linked to here lol that would be good.
okay now I must away and actually do some housework inbetween website setting up… enjoy your day all xxx
P.s. if anyone wants to follow me on twitter my name is under .. cozmist and facebook I am under my full name.. coralie plozza

I have had some sort of cold for the last ..well at least month if not six weeks.. and I have had enuff .. I am too busy to be sick.. today I have to drag myself out of bed and take my beautiful talented daughter to kindy and then take my handsome son to his nanna’s while i tackle shopping as we are out of everything and HAVE to go. I WISH to do lots today in preperation towards my new business but can’t put too much pressure on myself or will just prolong being sick. Impatience is something I must work on … managed to get my entries in the Busselton Wildflower Show Photo competition .. three in landscapes and three in wildflowers .. its an ametuar competition so sometimes quirky wins rather than skill so I entered accordingly and what ever doesnt win i can use in the Busselton Shire Capture the Moment Photo comp that closes at the end of the month
